All three emergency services are at the scene of a crash on the M66 in the early hours of this morning.
The motorway is the main route between Manchester and Burnley, and the collision is near Bury.
In a tweet at 12.26am, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM.) said the collision had happened between J2 and J3, on the southbound carriageway.
They say that emergency services, including fire and ambulance and police, are attending.
“Lane closures are in place but incident is passable with care, use caution on approach,” said TfGM.
At 12.35am, roads and traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: “M66 Southbound partially blocked due to accident between J2 A58 Rochdale Road (Bury) and J3 Pilsworth Road (Hollins).”
