Manchester City fans are officially the most hopeful in the Premier League when rating their chances of success for the upcoming season, according to a new survey.
Pep Guardiola’s side won their third Premier League title in four years last season, finishing 12 points clear of closest rivals Manchester United at the top of the table. They also made it four consecutive Carabao Cup wins as well as making the Uefa Champions League final for the first time in their history.
While they are yet to add any first-team signings to their squad during this transfer window, pursuits of England internationals Harry Kane and Jack Grealish are reportedly hotting up and have got fans excited that they can continue their success this season.
In a poll carried out by Sky Bet via YouGov for the Fan Hopes campaign, 77 percent of Man City fans believe that the club have what it takes to retain the league title once again while the entire fanbase is of the opinion that Guardiola will add at least one more trophy to the cabinet during the season.
When it comes to priorities for the transfer window, 82 percent of City fans want to see the acquisition of a new striker, following the departure of club legend Sergio Aguero.
Harry Kane seems to be the name on everyone’s lips, with 41 percent of Citizens in agreement that the club should sign the England Captain at all costs.
City are regarded as the most hopeful fans, scoring a stunning 9.09/10 and finishing top of the pile for the most optimistic set of fans among all Premier League clubs.
