Thousands of pounds has been raised to give two young men who tragically died in a motorbike horror crash the ‘best send-off they deserve’.
Ben Gallagher, 20, and Jordan Slack, 28, died after the crash on Oldham Road, Newton Heath, at around 5am on Sunday.
Last night, hundreds of people from their close-knit community got together at the scene to let off balloons and fireworks in their memory and say goodbye to two of their own.

A huge shrine of cards and bunches of flowers lined the railings, near to where Oldham Road meets Central Park Metrolink station, with messages to the lads saying: “Can’t get your smiley face out of my head.”

The shock has rippled across the area the pair grew up in and now, just shy of £2,700 has been raised for their families.
Writing on the Go Fund Me, Julie Fetherstone said: “This has brought devastation to all family, friends and loved ones.
“Let’s help them by showing how much they were loved…and help out as much as we can.
“RIP Ben and Jordan in our hearts forever.”
