Harry Redknapp thinks Daniel Levy is playing ‘poker’ with Manchester City in their pursuit of transfer target Harry Kane.
The Blues are looking to sign a prolific centre-forward this summer after Sergio Aguero’s departure and Etihad chiefs believe Kane is the perfect candidate for such a move.
But Tottenham’s chairman Levy has indicated he won’t let his prized asset leave cheaply and the London club have dug their heels in so far.
After much speculation, it’s been claimed that Tottenham won’t consider offers that are below £150m for Kane and that’s despite the reported ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the English international and Levy that he could leave for pastures new this summer.
With transfer deadline day now under two weeks away, Redknapp believes Levy is simply playing a game of ‘poker’ with City.
“Daniel [Levy] loves this, it’s a game of poker for him. It’s what he thrives on,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“He will hold out and get every last drop he can out of Man City to complete the deal. It’s time he [Kane] moved now. Daniel will look at it and think this time next year, he’s another year older, they’ll never get the money they’ll get now.

“They’re looking to bring a few players in as well. They’ve signed a centre-half and they’re looking at a striker. Daniel wouldn’t be spending big money unless he knew he was getting money back in.
“I do see Kane being a Man City player before the end of the window.”
