Ailinkai forced the victim, a woman in her 20s, to work as a prostitute to pay his debts., according to Derbyshire Constabulary.
His crimes were exposed after the woman came forward and told officers he would threaten her with violence and take the money she had earned through prostitution.
Ailinkai made good on his threat on one occasion, attacking his victim, say police.
The victim was forced to work as a prostitute from November 2019 until January 2020.
She managed to flee the house where she worked and report the crimes to officers at Pear Tree police station in Derby.
The victim has since received support from police and other agencies, according to the force.
Ailinka, of Havelock Road, Derby, appeared at Derby Crown Court on 2 August where he pleaded guilty to one count of requiring a person to perform forced or compulsory labour, according a statement released by the constabulary today (Friday).
He was sentenced to three years in prison and has also been recommended for deportation.
Sergeant Eleanor Develin, who led the investigation into Ailinkai, said: “Forced labour of any kind is abhorrent, but to force a woman into prostitution is just awful.

“Ailinkai’s crimes were calculated and, as well as lining his pockets with cash, humiliated this young woman.
“Thankfully she was able to escape the situation and has since been helped by partners to begin a new chapter in her life.
