A north Manchester road was closed by police amid reports a woman and a young boy were injured in a hit and run.
Church Lane in Moston was cordoned off at about 7pm on Tuesday.
Pictures from the scene show police cars and an ambulance inside the cordon.
An air ambulance was also reported to have landed at nearby Sequoia Street.

One witness said they saw a child on the pavement and a woman on the floor being helped by a police officer.
A police car was also seen being loaded on the the back of a tow truck.
Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for a comment.
