Tyson Fury asks fans to ‘pray’ for his baby girl as he welcomes his sixth child

Tyson Fury has announced the arrival of his sixth child with his wife Paris Fury while asking fans to ‘pray’ for their new arrival.

The heavyweight champion boxer from Wythenshawe took to Instagram to announce the news on Sunday.

He boxer revealed that Paris had given birth and confirmed that the proud paretnts have named their baby girl Athena.

He wrote: “Please can everyone pray for my baby girl who was born this morning. Athena Fury born 8/8/21. Thanks. God is great.”

Hours before giving birth Paris, 31, shared a video clip from the hospital showing Tyson watching boxing on his phone.

“Even in this situation he’s watching the boxing,’ she captioned the clip on her Instagram Stories with a laughing-face emoji.

And as Tyson filmed his wife tucking into a meal in her hospital bed as they waited for their baby girl she wrote jokingly: “He is dangerous with a camera.

“Think he’s bored now. We nearly at the end of day two in here and still no little girly.”

The couple announced that Paris was pregnant in February.

And they revealed that they were expecting a baby girl.

In a chat with sports broadcaster Gareth A Davies, Tyson said: “Paris is pregnant again and the Lord has blessed us definitely with another child and I’m very thankful.”

Paris, 31, took to Instagram to share the news of the unborn baby’s gender in a sweet snap of the family during a gender reveal party.

Paris was pictured with Tyson and their children as they let off confetti cannons that filled their room with pink confetti.

She wrote: “It’s a girl. We are due another little princess, god willing come summer we will have 3 girls and 3 boys. So blessed.”

The couple have been married since 2009 and are doting parents to daughters Venezuela, 11, and three-year-old Valencia Amber and sons Prince John James, eight, Prince Tyson II, four and Prince Adonis, one.

Last month Tyson’s scheduled fight against Deontay Wilder was postponed after the boxer tested positive for Covid. It will now take place in October.

Fury was recently spotted on Morecambe beach being interviewed by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.

It’s believed that former Manchester United star Gary was interviewing Tyson for his YouTube channel The Overlap.
